
Deborah Rodriguez is the Founder of Faros Counseling Services and a licensed Clinical Social Worker, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, and Massachusetts Problem Gambling Specialist. With advanced training and leadership experience in behavioral health, Deborah brings both clinical expertise and lived community knowledge to her work.
Her practice is rooted in compassion, cultural humility, and a strong belief in people’s capacity for growth and healing. Deborah is deeply committed to expanding access to quality mental health care and building systems that support long-term stability for individuals, families, and communities.
Faros Counseling Services was created from Deborah’s vision of a practice that honors dignity, connection, and culturally responsive care—meeting people where they are and walking alongside them toward meaningful change.

Martine Maxwell is a therapist with over nine years of clinical experience working with children, individuals, couples, and families. She is deeply committed to providing compassionate, client-centered, and evidence-based mental health care to diverse populations with complex needs.
Martine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Languages, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2007. This academic background strengthened her cultural awareness and communication skills, which continue to inform her work with individuals and families from varied linguistic and cultural backgrounds. She later completed her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Family and Couples Therapy, at Cambridge College, where she developed a strong clinical foundation in relational and systemic therapeutic approaches.
Throughout her career, Martine has worked extensively with children, individuals, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Her professional experience includes supporting individuals involved in the probation system, with a focus on accountability, emotional regulation, and positive behavioral change. She has also provided therapeutic support to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, utilizing a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, healing, and empowerment.
Martine uses an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs. Her clinical work draws from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Family Systems and Couples Therapy, and creative therapeutic interventions. She emphasizes collaboration, respect, and the belief that individuals and families have the capacity for growth and meaningful change when supported in a safe and therapeutic environment.
Her work is guided by a strong commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and holistic care. Martine strives to create a supportive and affirming space where individuals and families feel heard, empowered, and equipped with the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges and build healthier relationships.
